Push Button

A push button is a simple but essential control device used to manually start, stop, reset, or change the operation of a machine or system. When pressed, it sends a signal to a control circuit, which then triggers an action such as turning on a motor, stopping a conveyor, or activating a safety function. Push buttons act as the primary interface between the operator and the machine, making them a key part of human–machine interaction in industrial environments.

Push buttons are commonly found on control panels, operator stations, machinery, elevators, and automation systems across manufacturing, packaging, power plants, and building management. They are available in different types such as momentary, maintained, illuminated, emergency stop, and selector-style buttons, each designed for specific functions and safety standards. A well-designed push button system improves operational efficiency, enhances user safety, and ensures that machines can be controlled quickly and reliably in both normal and emergency situations.
