Plug
A plug is a connection or sealing component used to close, protect, or terminate open ports, hoses, pipes, or electrical connectors within a system. In pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical setups, plugs prevent air, fluid, or current from leaking or flowing where it shouldn’t, helping maintain system integrity, safety, and efficiency. They are essential for both permanent installations and temporary shutdowns, testing, or maintenance activities.
Plugs are commonly used in pneumatic lines, fluid circuits, control panels, and industrial equipment to block unused ports, protect connectors from dust and moisture, and prevent accidental discharge or contamination. Available in various materials such as plastic, brass, steel, and rubber, plugs are selected based on pressure ratings, environmental conditions, and application requirements. Using the right plug improves system reliability, simplifies maintenance, and reduces the risk of leaks or component failure.
